Following verse of Thirukural by Saint Thiruvalluvar flashed across my mind.
"Endharo Mahanubhavulu Anthariki vandanamulu!"
We all revere and worship Kanchi Paramacharya as a God who lived amongst us till 1999! We have seen him a number of times. Internet and Social media is full of anecdotes from many devotees who have a number of miracles in their life events attributed to His grace and Actions! Similar feelings are felt by devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba, Shri Ragavendra Swamigal, Aurobindo and Maa and many others. By this logic, we can even visualise that Lord Rama and Shri Krishna would have lived in their times. Episodes depicted in Epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata would have happened.
Then I remembered Manickavasagar's Thiruvembhavai describing qualities of Shiva - MAHADEV!I have jotted down the description of Lord Siva in Thiruvembavai to get an idea of the qualities one should possess or imbibe or cultivate in oneself so that every one can aspire to become a Mahadev!
I give some of the select extracts from Thiruvembavai that describe Lord Shiva's qualities (with not so perfect English translation)
